Coworking
As an all-remote company, Cadence OneFive values flexibility and collaboration. Our coworking policy is designed to support your work preferences while fostering connection among team members.
Please keep in mind that all-remote doesn’t mean all-remote from your home. It’s up to you to figure out the details of the working environment that works for you, and we will happily support you leaving your house or apartment on a regular basis!
Remote Coworking
Our daily MO is remote coworking. This means that you are online on Slack and available to collaborate during your own regular working hours. Collaboration may mean real-time online exchanges, asynch interaction, and real-time video meetings. Even when we work in real-time, we use habits that make it possible and easy for team members to weigh in asynch.
-
Set Your Office Hours: We encourage team members to maintain a consistent schedule of when you’ll be available on Slack. When setting your regular working hours, please consider when and how often you will need synchronous (real-time) collaboration with your teammates, especially if they are in different timezones from you. You can include your office hours on your README.
-
Start/Join Hangout Sessions: Hangout sessions (aka body doubling) provides opportunities for team members to join a video call to work alongside each other. These aren’t scheduled, but anyone can kick one off either in your team channel or in #random.
-
Home Office Setup: Cadence OneFive provides a stipend for home office equipment to ensure you have a comfortable and productive remote workspace. Please check Justworks for details.
In-person Coworking in NYC
We are a portfolio company of the NYU Urban Future Lab (UFL). Folks in NY are welcome to work from UFL.There is no requirement to use the NYC space. Team members are welcome to use it as often or as little as they like.

-
Amenities: UFL provides high-speed internet, bookable conference rooms, bookable phone booths, kitchen facilities, and printing services.
-
Visitor Guidelines: Here are some asks / guidelines from UFL for when you are there:
-
Please put your mugs and dishes in the dishwasher after you are done.
-
Please remember to grab mugs and cups from the conference rooms after you’re done with your meetings.
-
There should always be a magnet sign on the dishwashers to let you know if it’s dirty or clean. If there’s any confusion, please ask the front desk.
-
If both dishwashers are running, we’d greatly appreciate it if you washed your mug/bowl/etc and set it on the drying rack.
-
The front desk is here to help you with any questions or needs regarding that matter. They will be emptying the dishwasher in the mornings and afternoons.
